Breast Cancer

I woke up one morning and I said out loud, “I’m going to be ok.” I was then determined to succeed at getting through this.

Some time has passed since my cancer diagnosis. I still feel fearful, inferior, nervous and worried.

After discovering a lump in my right breast and swelling in my right armpit, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer.

Stay positive and don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it. Now is not the time to be proud, take help when it's offered as it's easier to recover when you're not alone.

My path to diagnosis began unexpectedly. After finding out I was pregnant in mid-2021, I mentioned to my obstetrician about lumps in my breasts.

Today, I feel thankful and optimistic.

My journey with breast cancer began with pain in my breast and armpit, prompting me to seek medical attention for further evaluation.

My biggest fear is relapse of cancer. This fear is always at the back of my mind since I have a young child who would have to grow up without her mother if I am not around.
